About

Formally trained in all types of Drafting and Technical Illustration, I spent my career as a professional Drafter Designer in the high tech field.

When traveling the great outdoors, nature watching has always been a great source of enjoyment for me. Many years ago, I took up painting as an expressive outlet, and this boundless medium quickly became a way of interpreting the world around me—as I see it.

The act of transposing your environment onto canvas makes you look at everything very closely, whether it’s the barbs of a bird’s feather, the texture of a tree, or a dog’s iris. Observing landscapes, nature, and animals is also exceptionally therapeutic. Painting has become a way to reflect my observations back to the world.

Now starting a retirement career as a nature artist, I specialize in pet portraits and nature scenes, both realistic and whimsical.
